Just in case you didn't know it, I am a major lost fan. Yes, I'm one of those annoying people who will drive you crazy with her theories if you just casually mention that you've seen the show once or twice. That's me. So, if you aren't the same type of Lost freak that I am, you probably shouldn't bring up the show around me.
This season we're supposed to have all of our questions answered(haha...right) and as the season is playing out, I'm realizing that one at least one level, the entire show is a classic battle between good and evil.
The problem is, we don't really know for certain who the bad guys are. In the beginning, we thought Ben was evil. When he first had contact with our Losties, he seemed like a really bad guy. He took them to the other side of the island and locked them in cages. We thought he was going to kill several of them. Still, he tried to convince them that HE was a good guy.
Now, we think the Smoke Monster is a the bad guy and Jacob is good, but what if it's the reverse? We just don't know.
It's like in life. Sometimes it's hard to tell who the good guys are. Bad guys can be charismatic. They can seem like your best friend. They can make you believe they care and that they're "good." You trust them. You rely on them and then you realize that the good guys are bad and you've been snowed. It's a tough lesson to learn sometimes.
How do you know who to trust? Just like on the island, sometimes it's hard to know.
